How did I sleep despite having two times disc herniation?
I Will tell you my personal story so that you will come to know how things work. I had slipped disk in 2011. It was accidental, So I have tried a lot of things on myself. To be honest, I love to experiment a lot. I Never just read and believe. I implement things on myself and then suggest what actually working, Because sometimes what happens things are different in practical scenarios.
I know how it feels when you can’t get your proper good night’s sleep. it totally affects your next day. you can not get focus on your work or on any work. You spent the whole day yawing along with others because yawning is contagious. So overall it becomes frustrating for us.

How to sleep with Lower Back Pain?
(1) Side Sleepers:
when we sleep on the side our spine won’t be straight & eventually pressure increases on it. so it becomes painful for us to sleep.
If you are a side sleeper then you should put pillows between two knees so your back won’t get excessive pressure.
(2) Straight Sleepers:
If you sleep straight then you should put pillow under your knees. So your spine gets relax.

first of all, I would like to share one thing that in today’s era everyone is suffering from body aches due to a sedentary lifestyle and sitting jobs. we are living in a more comfortable zone and due to that our spine has to bend more and more. The more it bends more we get the pain, So to repair or reverse our pain in the spine we will have to start keeping our spine straight.
If you are comfortable sleeping on the floor then start it with a few minutes, because sleeping on the floor strengthens our Muladhara chakra ( earth element ). It calms our minds too. you might be thinking that why I am speaking about Chakras in the sleeping blog but let me tell you, It’s all connected and The public wellness motto is to treat through Mind, body and soul.
why buy a memory foam mattress?
The best memory foam mattress distributes the weight evenly when you lie down on it, thereby taking off pressure on your neck, shoulders, and spine. Also, they are highly absorbent and soft, and the material is such that it contours itself to the shape of your body but returns to its original shape once the pressure is removed.
I Personally use a 4-inch hard foam and a 2-inch memory foam mattress. It’s a combination of hard and soft foam. Its best for people who suffer from low back pain or neck pain.

Sometimes, you should try sleeping on your stomach as well. If you find it comfortable because while sleeping on stomach our spine gets flat shape and it gives relaxation to us but to be honest If you are always sleeping on your stomach then it’s not a good habit.
special advice from my side is you should start doing the exercise suggested by the physiotherapist so you will get a permanent solution.No other therapy can replace exercise as the only activity that strengthens muscles.
